North Vietnam Family Tour 7 Days (Pu Luong- Ninh Binh- Halong Bay)

8:00: Pick-up at hotel, transfer to Bat Trang ceramic.

You’ll get a chance to make your own ceramic products and bring home! On a pottery workshop for the whole family, you will learn how to make your own ceramic souvenir and the kids will also have a chance to paint on gypsum statues.

~11h: Transfer to Pu Luong, eating lunch at the restaurant.

Afternoon: Around 5pm arrive resort/ecolodge or homestay & relax.

Option 1: Kids: 3-5y.o

Morning: row bamboo rafting at Chieng Lau stream. Your kid can play with water stream, try to catching snails and enjoy a picnic lunch with local people.

Afternoon: After lunch, come back resort to take the rest until ~4pm, do a short trekking with kids around beautiful Rice terraces, Bang villages, through small trail, a little bit stone & stream.

P/s: In the rain season or if the weather isn’t good, we will chance bamboo rafting activity by trekking to Kho Muong or Hieu village.

Option 2: Kid 6-12y.o 

Visit Hieu Village ( ~14km hiking & trekking)

Ban Hieu ( Hieu village) is a remote and off- the-beaten- track village in Pu Luong nature reserve. Lying in the steep slopes of jagged mountains, Hieu village overviews stunning valleys with its natural waterfall running day & night; and ever-green terraced  fields extending from thickly forested slopes to water edge of muddy river.

8 a.m, 8: 30 a.m, We start hiking into the valley, reach Uoi Village (Bản Ươi) and Lan Village (Bản Lặn). Following the trail along stream, you can enjoy the beautiful mountains scenery and get a glimpse for local daily life. Then, you will have a walk around the village, get your chance to learn how the locals weave brocades.

~12p.m We arrive Hieu Waterfalls (Thac Hieu) for lunch and swimming or playing in the nature pool in waterfall. Afterward, we will trek for 2 hours, have a bird-eyed view of rice terraces. Weaving through the forest, we head towards the banana farm and bamboo forest – excellent representatives for marvellous and pristine nature of Pu Luong.

5p.m, After 2-hour trek, you will be transferred back to your place by motorbike taxi.

Morning: If you don’t live in Don village, our driver transfer to Don village, where have the beautiful rice field. Your family can walk or cycle around the village and rice fields.

Around 11am: Move to Ninh Binh.

Afternoon: Around 4-5pm, if you are still strong, we can do a short bicycle beside the river. The village in Van Long, Ninh Binh is very peaceful and nice in the sunset or afternoon.  Take the bamboo raft boat to travel around Van Long –it’s less touristic lake in Ninh Binh. If you are lucky, we can see the “White short Monkey” – the feature animal only in Van Long.

Sleep at Emeralda Resort or Homestay

• Visitor Center & Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC) and Turtle Conservation Center
• Cave of Prehistoric Man (0,3km walk)
• Ancient tree

+ Morning: Arrive in Cuc Phuong at around 9:00 am. You will visit the Visitor Center where you can learn more about the park from the pictures and models on display; visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center  (EPRC)– one of the highlights of a visit to Cuc Phuong, where you can observe some of the rarest primate species in the world, after the EPRC you will continue with a visit to the Turtle Conservation Center where e kept 20 species of turtle and tortoises for rescue and conservation. Afterwards, have lunch in a local restaurant at park headquarters. (L)

+ Afternoon: Drive 11km to the forest where you begin walk 1km on the jungle path to see the ancient tree with forest observation and explore the Muong former resident site. Next, visit to the Cave of Prehistoric Man, where human skeletons and stone tools dated to some 7.500 years old have been found.

 Then comeback Van Long to sleep.

Sleep at Emeralda Resort or Homestay

Morning: 8:00: transfer to Trang An Grottos.

Take a boat trip to explore Trang An –is know as “Halong Bay on land” with stunning Karst mountain and enjoying unique cave complex.

After 3 hrs boating, we will move to the homestay. Take the rest.

In homestay, there are swimming pool, lotus lake, mountains are infront of your house. You can take a rest to get energy for a new journey in the late afternoon.

4:30pm: We will travel by car to Thung Nham bird garden. It’s chance for kid to see hundreds of birds coming back home in the afternoon and many kinds of tree. In Thung Nham, you will walk, travel by boat or bicycle to the home of birds.  

We can come back late because this place were decored by many nice lights

Morning: 8:00am Travel from Ninh Binh to Halong Bay.

~12:00: Arrive ferry. Start to explore Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay on Orchid cruise.

12:30: Check-in on cruise.

13:00: Have international buffet lunch while cruise pass islets.

14:15: We progress to Trung Trang cave by our bus on Cat Ba island which is located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao forest around the cave.

17:00: Swimming

17:45: Enjoy sunset or join cooking class.

19:00: Enjoy dinner

Option accommodation such as Orchid cruise 5 star, Heritage, Indochina sail… 

8:00: Kayaking activity

~10:00: Tea time & lunch

~12:00: The cruise return on ferry. The car will wait you here and transfer to Hanoi.
