Summary Ha Giang Loop 4 days program
Leave Hanoi around 8.30 p.m in the evening by a comfortable sleeper bus. The Motorbike Ha Giang Tour takes about 8.5 hours.
Our bus will pick you from your hotel around Hanoi Old Quarter. If you don’t have the hotel address, we will give you the bus parking place information.
Arrive Ha Giang city around 3-4 am in the morning. You will be a drop-off at our partner hostel. You can take a short sleep until 7:00 am, our guide will pick you up here and prepare a motorbike and guide you to eat breakfast. After sorting out with our bikes, go and get full tanks of gas for our bikes. Have our breakfast and coffee.

the road climbs over the Quan Ba pass (Heaven’s Gate). Have a short hike to Heaven Gate to see the beautiful scenery including Quan Ba town. The road winds over a saddle and opens up on to an awesome vista.
The whole Dong Van Karst Plateau is a major heritage sight in Vietnam. You will see unending rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and breath-taking views. You can observe the life of hill-tribe villages where local people work on the land. The driver can also take you to the Chinese border and the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Few kilometers before the Dong Van Town, we will stop in Hmong King’s Palace, a home for Vuong’s family in Sa Phin. It’s an H’ mong family of high rank during French colonial rule – this palace attracts keen interest from architecturally minded visitors due to its mixed style of European and Chinese architecture and the history of this land.
* Sleep: If you want to experience sleep in the homestay of Hmong people, explore their culture via learning their traditional music dance, wearing their traditional clothes, we will arrange sleep in Hmong Dong Van homestay.
If you want to have a comfortable and private room in the Hotel, we will book a room in the hotel 2-3star in Dong Van.
After breakfast, we leave for the Lung Cu flag pole around 8 am. It’s another amazing ride. Lung Cu flag pole where is about 25km from the center of Dong Van district. Lung Cu mount is considered as “a high forehead of the motherland” where marks the extreme North of our country. From its top, visitors can see the whole of the beautiful and spectacular landscape. When we are in Lung Cu, we also can leave our bikes and walk to visit a small village of LO LO people – one of the minority ethnic people in North Vietnam.
Turn around back to Dong Van, then, drive to the peak of Ma Pi Leng which gives stunning views of the mountains and sweeping valleys. It’s the most beautiful part of the whole journey, located on the Happiness road connecting the towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng Pass. The legendary pass is well known for craggy cliffs and breath-taking views. It is the most rugged pass in the north, often referred to as the “king” of the passes in Vietnam! The whole road is winding through the cliffs and overcomes Ma Pi Leng pass at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To show you the full beauty of the pass, we will trek the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the whole valley and Nho Que river. From the amazing mountain viewpoint, you will be able to experience a 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgettable pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you will feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and rivers.
We will continue our journey to more distant villages. From there, you will know how people live in remote parts of Vietnam.

Leave Meo Vac around 7 am in the morning after our breakfast. If it’s Sunday, you can have the chance to enjoy the unique and special local Market in Meo Vac, it only happens on Sunday and be called SUNDAY MARKET. There are very colorful and various cultures of ethnic minorities, it will be a special experience for you.
Leave Meo Vac, we will take the Boating trip in Nho Que river, it’s located in the bottom of Ma Pi Leng pass with Tu San canyon – it’s a new interesting destination in your Ha Giang tour. Tu San canyon is considered the deepest and most unique canyon in Vietnam. Nho Que river start from China runs through the Meo Vac area, Ha Giang. You will trek down from the main road to the bottom of the river, take the boat and enjoy the poetic beauty with the green color of Nho Que river.

We will continue our journey “Ha Giang Loop 4 days” to more distant villages. From Meo Vac Town we will continue through the mountainous rural area of Ha Giang province to Du Gia town, where we will spend a night in a homestay. The motorbike road to Du Gia is very beautiful and challenging for drivers. It runs up to the high mountain, then go down the winding roads and forests. If you go to Du Gia in Summer, you can jump and swim in a beautiful waterfall here.
On the fourth day of your journey, we will take the road back to Ha Giang. But it doesn’t mean the end of attractions! The route from Du Gia- Ha Giang is so amazing with the huge rock mountain and winding pass. We could visit and play with local children or school beside the route, the ethnic children in here are very friendly and lovely.
You can stop at Lung Tam village where Mong ethnic people live. You can learn the way to make the traditional craft and clothes by hemp and draw the pattern by bee wax of Hmong people.
We expect to arrive at Ha Giang around 5:00 pm. Take plenty of breaks on the way back. Wash up and have dinner at a local restaurant, then return our bikes at the bike rental place. Our sleeper bus leaves at 8:00 pm.
We begin our journey back to Hanoi with a good night’s sleep on the bus. Arrive Hanoi at 5:00 am on the next day.

Ha Giang 6 days private motorbike tour
I visited Vietnam at least once each years and this was1 of the most memorable trips in Vietnam.
Incredible landscapes and the roads are the car and motorbike enthusiast dream. The ethnic minorities and their cultures. They are some of the most friendliest and charming people I have met.
One of my main reasons for visiting Ha Giang was photography and I have made some of the best photos of Vietnam.
Nghia is so patient and helpful of my needs and endless questions. She created the customized itinerary to cater for my primary objective of this trip – photography, and I have to say she did a fantastic job.
I am so fortunate to have Hai as my guide and motorcycle rider. He knows Ha Giang likes on the back of his palm. The locals such as Homestay, restaurants and even head of the village all know him. He is also a great rider, I felt safe (though I had to ask him to slow down at times) on the back of him riding through some of the most dangerous roads in Vietnam. He us also very patient and accommodated to my needs of frequent impromptu stops for photography, and occasionally patiently waited for hour for me to capture the magnificent landscapes at ideal lighting and moments.

I went on a 4 day tour to do the Ha Giang loop in Dec 2019. Having only ever ridden a scooter back home, I decided that it would be better to hire an easy rider to take me around – and it was the best decision I could have made. Happy was an excellent guide / travel companion who made sure I had the best experience this wonderful region could offer. At times the road was very sketchy, full of holes and narrow, but I always felt safe sitting on the back, snapping pics and being a carefree tourist. Overall a wonderful trip!!

The experience of riding through the winding and narrow road and dangerous rock mountain in Ha Giang was one i will never forget. The scenery was too amzing, stunning and giant, beside the local people in Ha giang is so colorful and interesting.
The riding was fun without being too challenging and Nghia – our tour guide was an excellent guide who showed remarkable patience.
It is definitely the most personal way to see such a beautiful country and would recommend to anyone.
“Professional, Personal, Unforgettable”
I, my partner, father and brother signed up a 6d6n motorbike trip with Zonitrip at Ha Giang Motorbike Loop and Sapa without looking up anything about their road conditions. During the first 20 minutes, we already had 3 casualties (but it was all our fault) and Nghia was well prepped with first aid kits and all though she seemed a bit shocked.
We were feeling very low on our first day but we persevered on. From the second day onwards, the road confidence and fun just kept building up. We underwent a myriad of amazing experiences – visiting a school, playing with children, threshing rice, learning about the village culture, sleeping at homestays, drinking with the locals, smoking from bamboo pipes, etc. It was nice talking to the locals and even nicer talking to Nghia and Dung Ha, who were our guides but I’d really prefer to call them friends.
Everything was very well arranged and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. By the end of the trip, we couldn’t bear to go back. The pre-trip service was fantastic. Nghia was very organized and accommodating even though we kept asking her questions. The post-trip service was totally unexpected. Nghia too the effort to compile a trip video for us 😀
