How about accommodation?

After a long day with a lot of activities, we know a comfortable place to rest overnight is a special concern. A relaxed and enjoyable accommodation is not only to state the quality of the tour but also to get the energy back for the possibly hard days after.

However, the Trekking and Motorbike tours of Zonitrip are almost at remote regions where accommodations are not like other big towns, so we’ll stay mostly at the standard hotels or home-stay. But don’t’ worry, they’re surely safe and the equipment is comfortable enough for you:

  • Home-stay:

Mostly 90% of Zonitrip’s customers are pleased with staying at homestays.

All the families we choose to stay have special permits and are certificated from the local government. Most of the homestays are nice wood and clean houses on stilts, are owned by warmly host, who are local knowing well area. Below is the equipment you can expect to have at the homestay: private mats, blankets, mosquito nets, fans, clean toilets, hot water.

How's about the food?

We would like to say the food on tours is one of the most important reasons to make our clients come back for more.
We serve almost local Vietnamese food on the tour. Generally, Vietnamese food is light but it’s surely not boring and so healthy. We can be sure all food is fresh with a lot of vegetables, especially for vegetarians.
We sometimes choose a basic roadside restaurant for meals or eating at the homestay but the food is always fresh, tasty and plenty to choose.
Such as famous PHO (rice noodle soup), BUN CHA (special noodle with grilled pork), NEM (Spring rolls)…The local people have different methods to cook so we can be sure you can have different food for each meal during the long adventure tours in Vietnam.

How do I book and pay?

All our quotes are in USD/VND. We accept Visa/MasterCard by either directly giving us your card details or using our authorized payment form, Western Union, bank transfers or cash ( USD & VND).
Once you have agreed on an itinerary or service we will ask for a 30% deposit and start making reservations for you. Once all reservations have been made we will confirm back to you. The final balance is due on your arrival in our area or before your tour departs.

What is cancellation policy?

  • Once you have paid 30% non-refundable deposit your trip is confirmed.
  • Any cancellation of a booking must be in writing and shall only be effective upon its acknowledged receipt by ZONITRIP
  • For cancellations made within 7 days and 48 hrs before the day of the service, we reserve the right to retain 25% of the due amount.
  • For cancellations made within 48 hrs of the tour, we reserve the right to retain the full fee.

Perfect 4 days trekking around Mu Cang Chai
We really enjoyed the 4 day trekking tour in Mu Cang Chai with Nghia so much. We usually never book a tour guide but we would definitely recommend to do a guided tour in Mu Cang Chai. Nghia is speaking english very well and has an open mind and open heart. She and the driver Phuong took us to beautiful places where you wouldn’t get without a guide. Most of the time we didnt see any other tourists and met local people and animals instead. Luckyly we were even able to watch the harvesting process. Nghia told us so much about the culture of H’mong and Black Thai and also about her own way of living. Phuong was a very responsible and safe driver. Unfortunaltely he didnt speak english but that was no problem because it was possible to use google translate.

In advance we thought the trip is quite expensive even for european people. But we realized quickly that the price is fair. The driver picked us up in our hotel in Hanoi and he was also booked for us for the following days. He was driving us every day from the homestay we stayed to the beginning of the trekking and also picked us up there again to bring us to lunch etc. That was very convinient because we could leave everything we didnt need while hiking in the car. They took us to different homestays which offered delicious food and very friendly hosts and were surrounded by beautiful nature. The hosts didnt speak english so Nghia translated and organized everything for us. The homestays offered a private bathroom and private bedroom including towels, bedding, toilet paper and hot shower.
There was also always enough free drinking water and the additional beverages that we ordered were cheap.

Nghia even helped us to organize our transportation from Mu Cang Chai to Ha Giang. She was very honest about the prices and found the best option for us.

Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience!

We had seen so many photos of Rice Terraces claiming to be Sapa, but after some research we discovered these places were actually in Mu Cang Chai.

I contacted Nghĩa via WhatsApp from the Zonitrip website. Nghĩa is so incredibly knowledgeable and honest, and answered many of our questions about our itinerary. She provided us with information on our accomodation, our transport, our daily activities, our hikes and the price. She allowed us to customise the trip how we wanted, and even helped us find another couple so we could join together as a group tour. Our driver was so friendly and was very specialised and skilled.

We took a 3 day 2 night trip to Mu Cang Chai, staying in Homestay with the most welcoming and friendly guests. We learnt about local Hmong and Dai people, their food, culture and way of life. This trip wasn’t superficial, and it provided a raw, immersive and real cultural experience that I will never forget.

We hiked through rice terraces high up in the mountains and walked through streams in the valleys. Every single moment looked like a postcard. Nghĩa is the most knowledgeable and friendly guides and I cannot recommend her enough. She helped point out local plants, gave information on different cultural aspects such as local houses and customs, and helped us to interact with locals, translating for us and finding opportunities for us to meet eachother.

If you are worried that it may be like other tours where you are just encouraged to buy souvenirs and take photos do not worry. This experience was authentic and real and beautiful. We learnt how to love nature and culture and I will be grateful for the experiences I made on this trip. Riding through rice terraces on the back of a motorbike through the mountains, while waving to local Hmong children looking back at me is a memory I will never forget.

Please please please book this tour!

Amazing Trekking Experience

We did a 3D2N trekking tour with Zonitrip to Mu Cang Cai. The views were breathtaking. Nghia was knowledgeable in the area and readily shared the culture of Hmong, Tzao and Thai with us.

Overall, the trip was incredible (with breathtaking homestays) and impeccable service. We will definitely book another trip with Zonitrip if we are in this region.
