There are many ethnic minorities live here, such as Mong, Tay, Dao, Lo Lo,… For each ethnic group, they have their own cultural identities and you also can have the oppotunity to learn about their cultural features when we go there together
Places to go in Ha Giang – Ha Giang city
1. The community based ecotourism villages of the Tay ethnic – Phuong Do commune
From Ha Giang city, going to Thanh Thuy border gate about 7km, there are villages of the Tay ethnic people, such as Tha village, Ha Thanh,… Seen from above, the roofs are hidden under palm leaves, surrounded by rice fields and mountain ranges. It’s also one of the few villages of the Tay ethnic group in Ha Giang that still retains their traditional culture futures.
Nowadays, these villages are built to be the community based ecotourism villages andhey can retain their traditional culture and improve their lives.
Let’s try to imagine, it would be interesting to stay overnight at the Tay traditional house. You also can learn about their culture, walk around the village and you can relax with quiet space and fresh air,… How wonderful it is.
2. The No.6 water fall
Located in Ha Thanh village, Phuong Do commune, walk upstream of the Tien stream on the foot of the mountain, has a unique waterfall with 2 ponds. Around the waterfall are boulders with many different sizes. Visitors here will have the opportunity to swim and relax in the cool water and quiet space of the mountains.

Places to go in Ha Giang – Hoang Su Phi terraces
1. Hoang Su Phi terraces
If the Northwest is famous for the Mu Cang Chai terraces in Yen Bai, the Northeast has the Hoang Su Phi terraces in Ha Giang.
Hoang Su Phi is a mountainous district in the west of Ha Giang. It has the majestic natural scene, the large primeval forests and the beauty rice terraces,…
The Nung and Dao people,… reclaimed these terraces about 300 years ago.
2. The community based ecotourism of the Dao ethnic people
Come to Hoang Su Phi, you can go to visit some the community based ecotourism of the Dao people in Ban Luoc, Suoi Thau, Nam Ai,… You can walk around the village and learn about their habits and customs.
