Sapa Trekking Tour 2 days – Muong Hoa valley road (Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Tavan – Supan)
On this trip you will trek along the Muong Hoa River, sneaking through the valley nearby to Sapa town. This area is surrounded by huge rice paddies. On the way you will learn more about how the rice is cultivated, from when the seed is sowed to its harvest, until being served as cooked rice on your dinner table. At night you will be in Ta van village, the unique village in Sapa where the Giay minority live. It will be an excellent experience.
Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Tavan – Supan
At 20:30 our tour guide will transfer you to Hanoi station in order to make the 21:15 train to Lao Cai.
Note: Even though there is an express highway to connect Hanoi – Sapa that shortens the road transfer down to 5.5 hours from 8-9 hours, we still offer this trip with railway transfer. The rail in Vietnam is very much different to those ones in your country and therefore the train ride itself is an experience worthy to take. If you don’t wish to take the train transfer, contact our team to change to a bus or private vehicle transfer. If a bus/car transfer is confirmed, the tour omits this night and starts from Hanoi.
Pick up at the train station when you arrive and transfer to Sapa via a tourist shared bus. Early check in is possible when you arrive if the room is available. Otherwise, we will provide you a basic hotel room where you can have shower.
After a couple of minutes, you will follow a road going downhill to Ta Van village. You will also enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. You eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of the Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest while you are served lunch nearby the river.
After lunch, you head Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta van village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. You will spend the night in a local house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.
Approx: 5 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.
Once you get energy for your last day of trekking by having a delicious breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dao minority. You will trek through a bamboo forest, which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park. On the way you will pass by a waterfall where you will have time to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. There is a nice place to enjoy lunch here.
After lunch, you continue toward Su Pan, a small village located by the road. Here you start your journey back to Sapa by car.
Approx: 1-hour driving/ 3 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.
Night 3: Over night on the train (soft sleeper). The Sapa trekking tour from Hanoi finishes here. See you next trip!

Overall we had an excellent trip. What really makes any trip is the quality of the guide and ours, Mu from the Black Hmong Tribe, was excellent. There were just the two us on the tour so she tailored the trip to what we wanted and were interested in and went at a pace that suited us which enabled us to take all the photos we wanted. Mu’s English was very good and spoken without an accent (she learnt by following tours and picked it up all by herself). She told us about how the village people live, what animals they keep and what plants they grow and often pointed out things of interest. The sleeper train was as expected and at the homestays we had meals together with the other guests, which provided a social atmosphere to find out about their travels. The first homestay was high up in the hills (1,600m) where it was a bit chilly at night but the blankets provided kept us warm (March) but the second one right down in the valley was warmer. It was good trekking to the homestays

I could not thank Nghĩa enough for making this trip one of the most memorable experiences. My mum and I decided we wanted to do a Sapa Trekking tour and we could not have been more lucky to come across Zonitrips website. Throughout the 4 days Nghĩa provided a real life taste of living among the locals, with great home stays, amazing food and unforgettable views. This incredible experience was only complimented by Nghĩa’s warm, friendly and considerate nature, and I feel lucky to now be able to call her a friend. I would 100% recommend anyone to take a trip with Zonitrip, you
will definitely not regret it, making memories that will last a lifetime!

“Amazing tour & guide”
“My husband and I did a custom Mu Cang Chai and sapa trekking tour 2 days from Hanoi with Nghĩa for 6 days and 5 nights. I wanted to visit Yen The’s precious gem market for business research and purchase so we left at 5 am the first day by motorbikes and arrived in Yên Thế about 2.5 hrs later. Nghia and I had fun looking at cut stones and made our purchases. There were a lot of money on those small wooden tables and I wished I could buy more. We spent the rest of the day riding around that area and came home to Nghĩa house for a hot pot dinner with her family! Our tour combined bus & motorbike rides and hiking through Mù Cang Chải, Sapa and surrounding valley. We had the best time visiting hill tribes people, staying at 2 homestays, seeing the beautiful scenery and shopping! Everything was taken care of for us. Throughout, Nghĩa was thoughtful, informative, attentive, helpful and fun! We really got along well & we felt we have made a new friend. We highly recommend Nghĩa and Zonitrip!
We had such a wonderful time with Mu! She is a fantastic guide and really made the experience wonderful for us. We will request her again the next time. Thanks!
