Throughout my 9 days Vietnam trip this Oct, 2017, I have met so many nice people from hitch driver back in Singapore who gave me some information about Hanoi as she have been there before.
I met up with 14 Hiking enthusiasts from Malaysia, together we went for a 3D2N tour with Zonitrip from Hanoi – Mu Cang Chai – Sapa. Throughout the days, they have been nice to me though it seems like I’ve crashed in their group. Really thankful to the couple who offer their helping hands to carry my hiking boots and holding my hand tightly to crossed the high current stream with all rocks at the bottom and the water level was over my kneecap. When I’m with difficulties someone will always helped me along the way. ☺️
It was my last minute decision to hike Mt Fansipan because since I’m already there why not try 2D1N up to Mt Fansipan. My trip was similar to the Malaysia group but we got separated coz I book tgt with my MCC tour but they didn’t. Well we met along the way too. 😁 So I went up with two French guys, a Myanmar girl and a local girl tgt with our porters. Initially I never thought it would be so tough! Before my trip I never even prepare and train, probably that’s why it was very tough for me. I was climbing on all fours to overcome those really steep, slippery and slanted rocks. Thankfully we met the Malaysia group and manage to get gloves from them if not my hands will be all bruises. And I fell not at the difficult obstacles but at the lunch point where the ground is flat but there is a rock I didn’t see while I was focusing using my GoPro. 😌 I hope I can be more vigilant next time!
Though travelling from one place to another place took really Long hours to reach and can be very tiring. But it was definitely worth the travel. I will not forget the local market which sells live chicken, pigeons, killing them on the spot, dog meats, insects, worms and many more, Cycling along the villages enjoying the beautiful sceneries and villagers kiddos happily saying hello to you, trekking along the terrace fields and enjoying the views from the top! 😊
So this basically sums up my awesome backpacking trip in Vietnam! One of the most happy solo backpacking trip thus far. When I don’t even expect myself to be able to meet so many nice people here. Just really thankful that wherever I travel I always met good people along my journey. I’m truly blessed.😊
Sad to say goodbye but definitely there will be another Hello again. Now back to reality, gotta sort out the things that is lingering in my heart and move forward to a better future! Work doubly hard and play doubly hard too! Một,Hai,Ba,Dzo!
